Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has identified Maia and Rina Zakharan as the two British-Israeli sisters who were killed in a shooting by Palestinian terrorists in the West Bank. The sisters, aged 20 and 15, were attacked near an Israeli settlement on April 7. Netanyahu expressed his condolences to the family via Twitter and promised to pray for their safety. The attack came hours after Israel launched air strikes at targets linked to Palestinian terrorist group Hamas in retaliation for rocket attacks from Lebanon towards northern Israeli areas on April 6. The family had moved to Israel in 2014, and the sisters’ mother was injured in the attack. Hamas praised the attack as retaliation for Israeli police actions earlier in the week in the Al-Aqsa mosque.
