According to recent reports, the Edmonton Police have linked the gun used to kill two young officers, Constables Brett Ryan and Travis Jordan, on March 16 to the same gun that was used in a shooting at a Pizza Hut four days earlier. The Pizza Hut employee was left with serious life-threatening injuries while the two officers were shot and killed while responding to a routine call for a domestic disturbance. The 16-year-old responsible for both shootings was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The investigation is ongoing to determine how the teenager obtained the firearm and where it originally came from. Meanwhile, the victims’ families are yet to receive any information about what occurred last Thursday. A regimental funeral will be held for the officers on March 27.
