On Monday, the State Department announced that Secretary of State Antony Blinken will accompany President Joe Biden on his upcoming visit to the United Kingdom and Ireland. Afterward, Blinken will continue his travels to Vietnam and Japan.
Biden will be in the UK and Ireland from Tuesday to Friday.
Blinken will then head to Hanoi to engage in talks with Vietnamese officials and commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Comprehensive Partnership between the two countries.
He will also attend the G-7 foreign ministers meeting in Karuizawa, Japan, where they will be discussing various global issues, including Russia’s ongoing conflict with Ukraine, disarmament and nonproliferation of nuclear weapons, and promoting a free and open Indo-Pacific.
