Former President Donald Trump recently spoke with Tudor Dixon, a former Michigan gubernatorial candidate, on her podcast. During their conversation, Trump emphasized the importance of pharmaceutical companies being honest about vaccine side effects and disclosing all relevant data on vaccine harms. They discussed various topics, including corruption allegations against President Joe Biden and claims of federal agencies being weaponized against Trump.
Trump expressed his belief that Biden is the most corrupt and incompetent president in history, and he sees the criminal charges against him as attempts to interfere in the 2024 election. Dixon raised the issue of vaccine injuries and complaints from those who have been vaccinated. She asked Trump if he would demand that pharmaceutical companies release their vaccine data to the public. Trump agreed that companies should be transparent and release the data, stating that “we’re all in this together.”
Dixon also mentioned reports of adverse events associated with the COVID-19 vaccine, such as heart inflammation and blood clots. She asked if Trump would tell the companies that they must be honest about what has happened with the vaccine once the protection from liability provided by the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act expires in December 2024. Trump responded by saying that withholding information on vaccine harms would be wrong, and companies have an obligation to be honest.
In related news, a federal judge ordered the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to speed up the release of COVID-19 vaccine trial data. The FDA had planned to release the documents over the course of 23.5 years but will now be required to make them public by mid-2025. The judge emphasized the importance of timely disclosure and stated that the court must ensure the fullest possible disclosure of the information sought.
Confidence in the FDA’s COVID-19 vaccine approvals was also shaken by revelations that the approval of Pfizer’s vaccine was expedited to facilitate mandates. Despite the risk of side effects, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) continues to recommend that people of all ages receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
