A light aircraft crashed on Saturday morning in Switzerland’s Ponts-de-Martel area near the French border, resulting in the death of three people, according to Swiss police. The accident took place around 10:20 am local time (0820 GMT) in a forest near La Combe Dernier village in the canton of Neuchâtel, as police reported. Due to the steep terrain of the crash location, rescue operations were challenging, and the pilot and two passengers were pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash remains unknown, but authorities have launched an investigation.
