During a press conference with U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland and U.S. Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco, Ukrainian Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin confirmed that the recent leak of U.S. documents regarding Russia’s war in Ukraine will not affect his office’s efforts to hold those responsible for the invasion accountable. Among the leaked papers are details of U.S. military special forces present in Ukraine as well as a timeline for equipment and personnel training. Other documents outline the status of the conflict and the response of U.S. allies regarding lethal aid to Ukraine, including a possibility of Israel providing such aid. The suspected leaker, Jack Teixeira, has been arrested and faces charges under the Espionage Act.
