A hot air balloon caught fire near Mexico City, resulting in the deaths of a 50-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman, as well as injuring a young girl who suffered burns and a broken arm, according to officials in the state of Mexico. The incident occurred near the popular balloon ride location of Teotihuacan, a pre-Hispanic ruin site known for its Temples of the Sun and Moon. The cause of the accident is being investigated. Teotihuacan was once a city with over 100,000 residents and covered 8 square miles, but was abandoned before the rise of the Aztecs.
