The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported on Sunday that an Arabic edition of Adolf Hitler’s “Mein Kampf” was discovered in a children’s room in a house used as a terrorism hub by Hamas in Gaza. According to the IDF, the book was found among the personal belongings of a Hamas terrorist during a raid in northern Gaza. The book contained “annotations and highlights,” leading the IDF to state, “Never again is NOW,” as they accused Hamas of embracing Hitler’s ideology that led to the annihilation of the Jewish people during the Holocaust.
Israeli President Isaac Herzog stressed the gravity of the situation in an interview with BBC News, emphasizing the terrorist group’s support for Hitler’s ideology of targeting and slaughtering Jews. The discovery of the book suggests that the individual associated with Hamas wrote notes, marked, and learned repeatedly from Hitler’s writings, perpetuating an ideology of hatred and violence against Jews.
Following Hamas’ unprecedented terror attack on Oct. 7, Israel aimed airstrikes at Gaza and imposed a complete siege to cut off the controlled resources of food, water, and fuel. The attack triggered painful memories for Israelis and Jews worldwide, with the horrors committed by Hamas in Israel renewing the trauma of the Holocaust. The campaign aimed at rounding up and killing Jews, bearing resemblance in the widespread notions of genocide against the Jewish population.
The Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry has reported that the death toll in Gaza has surpassed 11,000 this week, though The Epoch Times is unable to independently verify the figure. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has attributed responsibility for any civilian harm in Gaza to Hamas, stressing the necessity for a ceasefire and the release of over 200 hostages taken by Hamas during the Oct. 7 attack. Israel has also agreed to daily four-hour pauses in their operations in Gaza to allow civilians to move south.
