Residents of Halifax have boarded buses to witness the damage caused by the wildfires that destroyed their properties. Katherine Tarateski, a local real estate agent, said she had already seen her home in ruins but wanted to accompany her neighbours who were visiting their homes for the first time. More than 200 people are expected to join similar tours in the coming days. The Tantallon wildfire engulfed a number of subdivisions, devastating approximately 200 structures. Over 16,000 residents were evacuated from their homes and businesses, but evacuation orders have partially lifted. Nova Scotia is experiencing its driest period in five years, making wildfires difficult to control.
