Five individuals have been found guilty of the murder of a divorcee who was lured into a “honeytrap” by a woman he met on Craigslist. Vishal Gohel, known as “57” due to his substantial bank account, was targeted by the gang. Georgia Bruce-Annan, Tevin Leslie, and Sakeen Gordon were convicted of murder and conspiracy to rob, while Brandon Browne and Faith Hoppie were found guilty of manslaughter and conspiracy to rob. Tianna Edwards-Hancock was acquitted. The defendants will be sentenced at a later date. The trial revealed that Mr. Gohel had met Ms. Bruce-Annan through Craigslist and agreed to a “sugar daddy arrangement.” However, it turned out to be a trap, and three men assaulted Mr. Gohel, demanding money and drugs. The attackers escaped with only £200, an iPhone, and an iWatch. The three women and the three men involved in the attack were apprehended by the police. During the trial, the defendants blamed each other, with Ms. Edwards-Hancock testifying that Ms. Bruce-Annan had set up the crime. The prosecutor argued that all defendants were part of a joint enterprise to rob and murder Mr. Gohel. The trial also revealed that Mr. Gohel had suffered severe injuries and was found dead in his flat. The defendants admitted that they feared he was dead but did not call for medical assistance. Friends of Mr. Gohel described him as a funny and street-smart individual, while the details of his initial encounter with Ms. Bruce-Annan on Craigslist remain unclear. It should be noted that in 2018, Craigslist closed down its personal ads section in the US due to concerns over online sex trafficking. The Epoch Times attempted to contact Craigslist for comment but did not receive a response.
