Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been invited to address a joint meeting of Congress when he visits Washington on June 22 in an effort to enhance ties between the US and India. Congressional leaders said that the address would offer Modi a chance to share his views on India’s future and to speak about the mutual challenges faced by both countries. The leaders said that greater collaboration between the US and India in future is eagerly anticipated. This will be Modi’s second address to a US joint session of the legislature following his 2016 address.
