A 66-year-old man named Stephen Alderton, of no fixed address, has been charged with two counts of murder and one count of firearm possession in the double murder of a father and son who were killed in two separate addresses in England. The victims, Gary Dunmore, 57, and Josh Dumore, 32, were murdered in what investigators have called a “targeted, planned” attack that is believed to be related to a family issue, potentially a custody battle. Three people were initially arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder, with the other two being a 27-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman who were later released. Alderton was arrested in the Worcester area and will appear at Huntingdon Magistrates’ Court. Police do not believe there is any risk to the public as this was a targeted attack. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact the police.
