The Pentagon has revealed that the United States will be providing Ukraine with a new military aid package worth $325 million. This package includes ammunition for air defense systems, vehicles, and ammunition. The aid is being sent as part of the country’s counteroffensive, which has seen some of the US-provided vehicles lost on the battlefield. This marks the 40th aid package sent to Ukraine using Presidential Drawdown Authority, which allows the transfer of articles and services from American stocks without congressional approval during an emergency. The package also includes munitions for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems, anti-aircraft and anti-tank weapons, 15 Bradley fighting vehicles, 10 Stryker armored personnel carriers, secure communications equipment, and over 22 million rounds of ammunition for small arms. Since Feb. 24, 2022, the US has provided around $40 billion in security to Ukraine, according to a State Department spokesperson.
