TikTok prankster Mizzy, also known as Bacari-Bronze O’Garro, has been sentenced to 18 weeks in jail by a judge for violating a court order that prohibited him from sharing his videos without consent. District Judge Matthew Bone said Mizzy’s actions were not funny, and he was sent to Stratford Magistrates’ Court for sentencing. He reiterated that Mizzy’s behavior was motivated by a desire for fame. The teenager, known for his viral pranks on TikTok, was found guilty of breaching the court order multiple times, and Judge Bone expressed his disbelief at Mizzy’s excuses for doing so.
Mizzy’s trial heard how he continued to share videos without consent, even after the court order was passed on May 24, 2023. He was seen in footage at the Westfield shopping center and more, and he was sentenced to 18 weeks in a young offenders’ institution. In addition to jail time, he was prohibited from using social media and had other restrictions imposed on him. The judge stated that Mizzy’s actions caused significant harm and distress to innocent people, and he criticized the lack of maturity displayed in Mizzy’s conduct.
Mizzy’s defense attorney claimed that Mizzy’s actions were due to immaturity, and he emphasized Mizzy’s academic pursuits and recent job as a waiter. Despite this, the judge strengthened the social media ban and imposed further limitations on Mizzy. Detective Chief Inspector Yasmin Lalani described the sentence as fitting and emphasized the importance of holding people accountable for their actions. She expressed hope that Mizzy would get help and address his behavior. The sponsors who provided Mizzy with designer clothes through TikTok remain unknown. This report was contributed to by PA Media.
