The Ben & Jerry’s ice cream company is facing backlash and calls for a boycott after making controversial comments about Canada Day and Independence Day. Conservatives in the United States have previously boycotted Bud Light and Target for their transgender-related marketing. Ben & Jerry’s tweeted on Canada Day, saying “O Canada, our home on stolen land,” prompting many people to express their intention not to buy their products. The company also faced criticism in the United States for making similar comments on Independence Day, suggesting that Mount Rushmore should be returned to the Sioux. This situation is reminiscent of previous boycotts against Bud Light and Target, which resulted in significant declines in sales and stock prices. Ben & Jerry’s has a history of engaging in left-wing political activism, including actions related to gay marriage, opposition to Donald Trump, and support for the Black Lives Matter movement. The company has not responded to inquiries from The Epoch Times.
