A total of fifteen individuals have passed away in road accidents over the Easter holiday in Australia. The latest incident happened in Wangaratta, Victoria, where a man was involved in a rollover crash which led to the death of one of his three male passengers. The other two passengers were airlifted to a hospital in Melbourne with grave injuries, while the driver is under police custody and receiving treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. The deadly tally began on Good Friday with seven casualties, including four adults in a collision in New South Wales and a woman passenger in a sedan in Tasmania. A 26-year-old female has been charged for causing death by dangerous driving after her Toyota Camry hit a white MG near Copping, east of Hobart. In the Northern Territory, two individuals died in separate incidents within 24 hours, including a man involved in a motorbike and quad bike collision near Alice Springs. The quad bike rider expired on the spot, while the motorbike rider was flown interstate for treatment. A 16-year-old boy was killed in a crash involving a Honda station wagon and a tree 75km south of Adelaide, and three more fatal accidents took place in Western Australia, South Australia, and Tasmania on Easter Sunday. Investigations indicate that a 29-year-old woman lost control of a Mitsubishi Magna on the East Tamar Highway in Bell Bay. A 59-year-old man passed away in a fatal collision along the Bussell Highway two hours south of Perth, where a Mitsubishi Pajero struck a tree. Lastly, one person died and two others were critically injured in a head-on collision south of Townsville on Monday. A sedan collided with a Toyota 4WD after swerving onto the other side of the road on Goodsell Rd, Cungulla, killing the sedan driver, while the 4WD passengers were transported to the hospital.
