A well-preserved bronze sword that is over 3,000 years old has been discovered in Germany, according to officials. The sword, believed to be from the end of the 14th century B.C., was found during excavations in Noerdlingen. It has a bronze octagonal hilt and was found in a grave alongside three individuals. The relationship between the individuals is still unknown. The sword and the burial will undergo further examination to determine its significance. Swords from this period are rare, with most discoveries coming from 19th-century burial mounds or as individual finds.
