Sydney is preparing for the Vivid festival, a three week event featuring art displays, live performances, and 3D light projections. The festival will include over 300 events, including visual displays, music, food, and ideas. Last year’s event attracted over 2.2 million visitors, and this year’s event will focus on the relationship between humans and the natural environment. Pop-up restaurants and the “Vivid Food” program will be part of the event. More than 60 concerts featuring local and international acts will be held throughout the city. Festival director Gill Minervini has promised a more inclusive event. Vivid Sydney will culminate on June 17.
