Police in northern Greece discovered a large amount of cocaine hidden in banana crates from Latin America. Two suspicious containers were seized at Piraeus port and brought to Thessaloniki, where authorities found 100 bricks of cocaine weighing 161 kilos. The drugs could have been worth around $3.43 million and were intended for distribution in Greece and other European countries. This discovery was made following an investigation launched by Greece, North Macedonia, and the United States Anti-Drug Agency. In a previous incident, police seized around 100 kilos of cocaine hidden in banana containers and arrested 14 individuals in connection with the case.
