An earthquake occurred off the southern coast of Burma (Myanmar) on Monday. The quake, measuring 5.1 magnitude, was recorded about 152 kilometers south of Yangon at a depth of 10 kilometers. Tremors were also felt in Thailand, with the country’s meteorological department reporting a 6.0 magnitude earthquake. The United States Geological Survey measured the earthquake at 5.6 magnitude. Although some people in high-rise buildings in Bangkok reported feeling the tremors, there were no reports of major damage or casualties.
