Western countries concerned about Nord Stream pipeline after unconfirmed reports of explosions; Germany confirms investigating a ship. 1

The Nord Stream pipelines have been blown up causing Western allies to issue warnings, although Germany has suggested that the attack may have been a “false flag” operation used to blame Ukraine. The incident occurred after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and a pro-Ukrainian group may be responsible as per U.S. intelligence findings. Investigations are still ongoing into what caused the rupture in the Nord Stream pipelines which supply Russian energy to Europe. Although Western countries believe the explosions were deliberate, they have not concluded who was behind them. Russia demands a transparent investigation involving them. Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov discredits the media reports thinking they have nothing to do with the Ukrainian government but jokes it could be a compliment for their special forces.” Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov suggests that it could be a coordinated bid to divert attention.
