Opposition leader Lee Jae-myung was stabbed on the left side of his neck by an unidentified assailant while holding a press conference in Busan, South Korea. The incident took place at around 10:27 a.m. local time following Lee’s visit to the site of a new airport on Gadeok Island. The attacker approached Lee under the pretense of asking for an autograph but proceeded to stab him with a knife before being arrested on the scene.
