NK claims it tested underwater drone that could create a "radioactive tsunami." 1

According to a report from North Korea’s state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), the country recently tested an underwater attack drone capable of producing a massive radioactive tsunami that could destroy enemy naval striker groups and ports. The drone, named “unmanned underwater nuclear attack craft Haeil,” was deployed off the coast of Riwon County and cruised underwater for 59 hours and 12 minutes at a depth of 80 to 150 meters (262 to 492 feet) before detonating underwater. The report also stated that the drone has undergone more than 50 shakedowns in the past two years and can be deployed at any coast and port or towed by a surface ship for operation. North Korea also test-fired four strategic cruise missiles on March 22 and launched its largest Hwasong-17 intercontinental ballistic missile on March 16. The missile is estimated to have a range of over 13,000 kilometers (8,078 miles), making it capable of striking any location in the continental United States. The United States has tried to engage in “direct talks” with North Korea to find a diplomatic solution, but North Korea has refused these efforts.
