Three Texan women, including two sisters, are missing in Mexico after having travelled across the border to sell clothing at a flea market last month. While the recent abduction of four Americans in Mexico received a vast amount of attention and was resolved quickly, these women have not been heard from in two weeks, and little publicity has been gained for their case. The FBI is aware of their disappearance, but beyond that, officials in both the US and Mexico have not commented much. The women crossed the border on February 24th, and their families grew concerned after failed attempts to contact them. The three women were traveling in a green Chevrolet Silverado truck to a flea market in Montemorelos. Mexican authorities are investigating the women’s disappearance, but without sufficient resources, many cases like this go unresolved.
