BERLIN—On Thursday, several German airports reported disruptions to their websites, which may have been caused by a hacker attack, according to German news agency dpa. The disruptions did not appear to have an immediate impact on the country’s air traffic.

Nuremberg Airport in southern Germany reported that their website was receiving so many requests that it collapsed. The homepages of Duesseldorf and Dortmund airports in the west of the country were also unreachable, while Erfurt-Weimar airport in the east had to shut down their website. The airport’s internet provider was checking whether it was a hacker attack.

The day before, Frankfurt airport had to temporarily divert all flights away from the country’s busiest airport due to a problem with Lufthansa’s computer systems caused by construction works.
