Expulsion of Chinese diplomats by Trudeau? 1

Commentary

The Canadian government is taking drastic measures to protect national security and people’s “self-realization,” but when it comes to China attempting to interfere with our elections, they seem to be taking it lightly. Prime Minister Trudeau has declared himself vindicated by the Rouleau report, but he is not taking any action against China’s efforts to undermine our democracy. Even though CSIS has produced detailed studies of what the Chinese Communist Party has done, Trudeau does not appear to be taking it seriously.

The Chinese Communist Party has explicitly stated their goal of being the dominant power in the world by 2049. They also engage in ritual humiliation of their opponents. For example, the former Chinese consul-general in Vancouver boasted about helping defeat two Conservative MPs. If Donald Trump had said something similar, there would be outrage, but the Chinese Communist Party’s actions are being ignored.

Trudeau has not been helping the situation, as he covers for China and does not take any action against them. He has even expressed admiration for China’s “basic dictatorship.”

It is clear that China is engaging in activities to undermine our democracy, yet the Canadian government has done nothing to stop them. It is imperative that our government takes action to protect our democracy from foreign interference.
