John Howard, the former prime minister, is scheduled to make a second appearance in Penrith to assist the Liberal party in rallying their supporters in the marginal seat. Treasurer Matt Kean will not attend the event, opting to make a local funding announcement in Oatley instead. Meanwhile, Labor is concentrating efforts in the Parramatta seat, which they need to win. As for the Greens, they will call for a “climate-smart” western Sydney that includes various environmental initiatives. Independents Helen Conway, Larissa Penn, and Victoria Davidson will hold a protest against bus cancellations on Sydney’s north shore. Labor has accused Premier Dominic Perrottet of lying about plans to privatise Sydney Water, while the premier has criticised Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s opposition to the Kids Future Fund proposal.
