Djokovic’s success rivals Graf’s, according to younger players.

At the age of 35, Novak Djokovic has proven that age is not a barrier and that he will continue to break records on the ATP tour. Djokovic won a record-extending 10th Australian Open title last month and surpassed Roger Federer’s mark of 310 weeks as the men’s number one in March 2021. He is now level with Steffi Graf at 377 weeks and is looking to overtake her as the player with the most weeks at world number one.

Andrey Rublev, the Russian world number five, said Djokovic had shown that anything is possible. Alexander Zverev, a former world number two, said Djokovic had shown how consistent he can be by dominating his rivals in the last decade. Zverev added that watching Graf being overtaken would be bittersweet for him.

Djokovic will return to action in Dubai later this month.
