A group of Chinese vaccine victims who claim they have suffered various severe side effects have drafted a proposal and are prepared to present it to the representatives of the two sessions’ top meeting of the ruling Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) starting on March 5. In the publicized proposal, they call for the establishment of a vaccine injury protection law in China. A large number of people in China report that they have suffered from side effects after receiving various Chinese-made vaccines, including the COVID-19 vaccines, and that their lives have been plunged into dire situations because of it.
This activist group says that according to an article in the China Vaccine Administration Law, “if death, severe disability, organ tissue damage, etc. occur to the recipient during or after vaccination, it should be considered an abnormal reaction to vaccination or cannot be ruled out, and compensation should be given.” Patients claiming to be vaccine victims and their families across the country have expressed their hope in the proposal that the eight ministries and commissions designated by the Central Committee of the CCP, including health, Disabled Persons’ Federation, Civil Affairs, Red Cross Society, Education, Finance, Human Resources and Social Security, Food and Drug Administration, and other relevant agencies, can subsidize the medical expenses in the event of vaccine injuries or establish a “Vaccine Injury Protection Fund.” They are calling for the establishment of a “Vaccine Injury Protection Law” to ensure protections in suspected cases, and also for scientific impartiality in investigation, diagnosis, and identification, and to clarify a series of lifelong survival policies for confirmed cases.
Hua Xiuzhen, who drafted the proposal, says her daughter’s health was hurt by a vaccine. Tan Hua was bitten by a dog in Shanghai 2014 and she became disabled after being vaccinated with the human diploid rabies vaccine produced by Chengdu Kanghua Biological Products Co., Ltd., which was still being piloted at the time. However, the doctor hid that fact from her. After being exposed to the experimental human diploid rabies vaccine, Ms. Tan suffers from serious diseases such as incurable demyelinating encephalopathy, systemic allergic rash, epilepsy, hearing loss, brain atrophy, and ischemic lesions in the white matter. She lost her job because of her conditions. Ms. Hua told The Epoch Times that due to long-term illnesses and the brutal oppression of Ms. Tan for seeking aid from the CCP’s local government, she also suffers from a mental disorder, now relying on imported drugs to help her all year round. There is no specific drug for ischemic lesions in the brain’s white matter, and her condition is getting worse.
Although Mr. Qian filed complaints to the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, the Bureau of Letters and Calls, and the government hotline, various governmental departments have shirked responsibility. Mr. Qian recalled that when he signed a consent form before receiving the vaccine, the form did not list the possible consequences of vaccination. This is not the first time that the group of Chinese vaccine victims has taken action to call for protection of their rights. In May 2022, the victims of Chinese COVID-19 vaccines warned the public about the serious side effects of domestically produced vaccines in an open letter they posted online. The open letter calls for the state to acknowledge the side effects and Sinovac to provide humanitarian aid funds.
