Bureaucrats fed up with bureaucracy. 1

A recent report from the Canadian Department of Justice reveals that nearly half of federal employees’ disability claims stem from mental illness. The report also notes that employees feel overwhelmed by repetitive, menial, and uninspiring tasks. This over-exhaustion might lead to a nervous breakdown, and it’s essential to acknowledge these issues. The bureaucracy expands without considering the workload involved, and it’s a significant concern. Incompetence also leads to promotions beyond an individual’s ability, adding to the problem. The bureaucracy eats away at the soul with its repetitive and uninspiring tasks. Private-sector bureaucracies can also be painful, but they can’t overcome the lack of profits like public-sector bureaucracies. Governments need to take the employees’ mental health seriously instead of ignoring their concerns. As a society, we need to reassess the amount of work given to employees, preventing nervous breakdowns, and perpetuating bureaucracy in the long term.
