Boat capsizes near disputed Japan islands, 6 missing. 1

A Taiwanese fishing boat capsized near the disputed Senkaku Islands, also known as Diaoyu Islands by China and Diaoyutai Islands by Taiwan, leaving one dead crew member and six missing. The boat, Hsin Chang Fa No. 88, was carrying one Taiwanese and six Indonesians. Japanese navy patrols spotted the capsized vessel, and one body was found on Monday with an Indonesian ID. The search for the remaining six crew members is ongoing. Both Taiwan and Japan dispatched ships for search and rescue missions, and Indonesian authorities are coordinating with Japan and Taiwan. The incident happened as another Taiwanese fishing boat, Sheng Feng No. 128, went missing off the coast of Palau. Taiwan requested assistance from the Philippines and the United States. Additionally, the Lien Sheng Fa fishing vessel, with 16 crew members, was found overturned in waters off the coast of Mauritius, and Taiwanese authorities are searching for the missing crew.
