Australian Resources Minister sees huge potential for growth with India. 1

Australian Resources Minister Madeleine King has identified the supply of critical minerals to India as a vital aspect of the nations’ burgeoning trade relationship. Speaking during a visit to India, King said the country’s huge and growing population offered “enormous” trade potential for Australia, which was ideally suited to work with the country on the extraction and processing of minerals such as lithium. King added that she recognised the role of coal in the Indian energy mix and confirmed Australia would continue to export it. King was part of a delegation led by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese aimed at boosting economic and cultural ties and finalising an early conclusion to their Comprehensive Economic Co-operation Agreement.
